New Kickstarter - Pilot Episode!
Hi there!
Thank you so much for your support of my work as a game designer. It means more to me than I can ever say.
I'll always consider Acehearts to be one of my proudest accomplishments (even if I do shudder at the layout now!). I'm so happy I got to work with fellow aro-ace designers and artists in order to make this inclusive project. One of the things we really wanted to highlight with this supplement was how asexual and aromantic interaction with romance and sex was not always as simple as mere disinterest or disconnection. Living in a society that is, in many ways, deeply sanitized, means that aro-ace rep is always going to be complicated, much like the lived experience! My next Kickstarter, Pilot Episode, is in many ways about the sanitation of messy lived experiences, queer or otherwise.
If you can, I’d be so grateful if you took a moment to check it out. It’s a gmless horror game that hacks Time To Drop to create a wholly new experience! You play the cast of a sitcom who finds themselves trapped in the twisted and ever-resetting world of the sitcom. As they try to escape by creating the perfect sitcom episode, they find themselves contending with the whims of the Live Studio Audience, a mysterious and eldritch force whose laughter echoes throughout the world…
We’re currently fundraising for a print run and a custom soundtrack. This soundtrack is one of the central mechanics of the game, as it is used to indicate to the players when one episode loop ends and another begins. The first five minutes of this soundtrack is available to listen to on the Kickstarter page. This game draws from my love of film and ttrpgs, so a lot of in-depth research went into recreating the specific themes, tropes and tone of the sitcom with a horror twist!
You can check out Pilot Episode here. There’s only four more days remaining so be sure to back before it’s gone!
